New housing development planned near fairgrounds

By Bill Shea 1 min read

Land immediately south of the Webster County Fairgrounds will become a new housing area.

There will be 12 to 16 lots for single family homes there, according to Dave Bianchi, a spokesman for DBJG Properties LLC, which owns the roughly seven acre site.

"We're excited about it," he said.

The first step will be construction of a road into the site from Old Highway 169. The developer will pay for constructing it. Bianchi said he hopes construction of the road can begin next month.

The placement of the road will ultimately determine how many lots will be available for houses, he said.

The houses will be on lots measuring about one-third of an acre.

DBJG Properties will build the houses. Bianchi said he hopes to start construction of the first four houses this summer.

"We want the project to be completed in five years," he said.

Starting at /week.
