DAYTON -- The Dayton Community Club is holding a Dayton Community Grocery freewill donation meal fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. SUNDAY at the Dayton Community Center, Dayton. A freewill donation meal of pulled pork, baked beans, chips, dessert and drink will be served at 11 a.m. until gone. There will be a silent auction from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Funds raised will help keep the grocery store open.
CLARE -- Clare Public Library, Clare, is holding its annual Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale fundraiser from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. SUNDAY at the Clare Community Center. The menu is pancakes, sausage, loaded and plain scrambled eggs, juice, coffee and hot apple cider. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for children with children ages 3 and under free. All proceeds will go to the library.
EMMETSBURG -- A benefit for AJ Salas Jr. is 4:40 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the VFW, Emmetsburg. A freewill donation meal begins at 4:40 p.m. with a live auction starting at 5:30 p.m. Salas suffers from having a heart attack and triple bypass surgery and continues to be out of work on medical leave since Nov. 13. OTHO -- Otho Fire Soup Supper is 4:30 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the Otho Fire Station. The menu is choice of homemade chili or chicken noodle soup served with a cinnamon roll and water, lemonade or coffee. Tickets are $5 per person.

FORT DODGE -- Eggs & Issues Legislative Forum is 8:30 to 10 a.m. SATURDAY in the Triton Cafe boardroom on the Iowa Central Community College campus. The forum is free.
FORT DODGE -- St. Edmond Catholic School, 2321 Sixth Ave. N., is holding a Chris Cakes Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon SUNDAY in the high school cafeteria. Pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee will be served for a freewill donation.
