FD man makes bid for Board of Supervisors

A Fort Dodge man announced Thursday his candidacy for the Webster County Board of Supervisors in this year’s election cycle.

Clayton Bills, of Fort Dodge, is running as a Republican for the District 3 seat on the board.

District 3 covers the southeast section of Fort Dodge. Democrat Bob Thode currently holds the District 3 seat.

Thode was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2016. He has not announced whether he plans to run for reelection in 2024.

Bills is the second Republican candidate to announce their candidacy for the Board of Supervisors election. In November, Nathan Montgomery, of Burnside, announced in November his plans to run for the District 2 seat currently held by Democrat Mark Campbell.
