DAYTON — Webster County Conservation is holding a Night Hike at 7 p.m. SATURDAY at Skillet Creek Indian Mounds, River Road, Dayton. Bring your flashlights and family for a hike in the dark. Hear the stories of the ancient woodland cultures that once lived in the area. Hike through the old mining town of Hard Scrabble and witness a few remnants from a previous way of life in the valley. Participants will learn about the history of the region and some nocturnal animals before exploring for animal signs. The location is four miles south of Dayton on Highway 175, one half mile north on River Road, then turn left onto Skillet Creek Road and travel one half mile and parking is before the bridge.

MANSON — Manson WaTanYe Club is holding a Vendor and Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. SATURDAY at the Manson Northwest Webster High School, Manson. Lunch will be available dine in or carryout.

LIVERMORE– Sons of the American Legion Omelet Breakfast will be 8 a.m. to noon SUNDAY in the Livermore American Legion basement. Dine-in or to-go orders.

FORT DODGE — Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library Autumn Book Sale is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. TODAY and 9 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the library, 424 Central Ave. Today anything that fits in a bag is $3. On Saturday, anything that fits in a bag is $1.
