Parks and Rec looking for businesses to sign up for Christmas Tree Walk

Area businesses and clubs are invited to deck the halls at Citizens Central and fill the shelves at The Lord's Cupboard this holiday season.
The Fort Dodge Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department's annual Christmas Tree Walk will be on display at Citizens Central, 617 Central Ave., Dec. 4-20 for patrons, visitors, events and programs.
For $25, businesses and clubs get an eight-foot-wide spot to place a decorated tree. The fee includes electricity.
The tree walk can be viewed during Citizen Central's regular business hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday) or during special events from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 9, 10, 16 and 17. Admission is a donation of canned goods that will be donated to The Lord's Cupboard.
Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite display in the Christmas Tree Walk, with first-, second- and third-place prizes being awarded.
