The Sonshine Singers and Brady O'Brien Live will team up for two musical ministries this week.
Billed as the Fall Reunion Ministry, the performance will pair O'Brien, an accomplished local pianist, with about 60 members of the singing group.
It is a special reunion for the Sonshine Singers, which ended 20 years of musical ministry with a February 2019 performance.
This week's first performance will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday. The second will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. Both will be at First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H. A free will offering will be accepted, with the money going to Twin Lakes Bible Camp.
O'Brien said he and Armona Redenius, the director of the Sonshine Singers, separately began thinking about working together on a ministry about a year ago.
"God was trying to push us in this direction," he said.
He had been part of two of the Sonshine Singers's previous events.
The Sonshine Singers will start both performances by singing four songs. O'Brien said he will sing with the group.
Then it will be his turn. O'Brien said he will be debuting a couple of original songs. He will also play some classic Christian rock tunes.
The Sonshine Singers will then return to finish with four more songs.
