EMMETSBURG — Farmer’s Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY on the north side of the Palo Alto County Courthouse on 10th Street, Emmetsburg.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Mainstreet Community Theatre presents “The 39 Steps” at 7:30 p.m. TODAY and SATURDAY and 2 p.m. SUNDAY at the Dinges VanOosbree Performing Arts Center, 2206 19th St., Emmetsburg. General admission tickets are $10 and available for purchase by visiting the box office one hour prior to curtain. Concessions are available for a freewill donation.

MALLARD — “Remembering the Orphans,” a presentation summarizing the historical era known as the Orphan Trail Movement in the U.S. dating 1854 to 1929, is 2:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Mallard Public Library/Community Center, Mallard. Speaker Lori Vicker is a retired reading specialist who travels the state sharing her interest and enthusiasm for this little known and forgotten era of history.

CLARION — “If Barns Could Talk” with guest speaker Rich Tyler is 1:30 p.m. SATURDAY at the Heartland Museum, Clarion.

FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Senior High and St. Edmond classes of 1963 are holding a 60th class reunion at 6 p.m. TODAY and SATURDAY at the Starlite Best Western, 1518 Third Ave. NW. Registration begins at 6 p.m. today with social time and hors d’oeuvres. Saturday activities begin at 6 p.m. with dinner and exhibits, also at the Starlite Best Western. A group photo will be taken at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow. Information is available by contacting David Sergeant at 515-570-5455.

FORT DODGE — The 40th annual Cruise to the Woods is SATURDAY and SUNDAY at Lizard Creek Ranch, 1762 Johnson Ave. Registration opens at noon Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday for a ’50s/’60s dance with the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Sunday. There will be a craft show and swap meet both days.

FORT DODGE — The annual Oakland Cemetery Headstone Cleaning Party is 10 a.m. to noon SATURDAY. Those attending should us the North 15th Street entrance across from Gunderson Funeral Home and drive up to the top of the hill where parking will be available. FORT DODGE — Webster County Upper Des Moines Opportunity is holding Strike Out Hunger 9-Pin food drive tournament SATURDAY at Family Bowling Center, 3599 Fifth Ave. S. Registration begins at noon with the tournament beginning at 1 p.m. Entry fee for over 18 years is $25 and $15 for school age (not eligible for payouts).
