EMMETSBURG — Farmer’s Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY on the north side of the Palo Alto County Courthouse on 10th Street, Emmetsburg.

EMMETSBURG — The United Methodist Church Bake Sale begins at 8 a.m. SATURDAY at the church in Emmetsburg. A luncheon of Sloppy Joes, chips and bars will be served at 11 a.m.

BADGER — Badger Public Library, Badger, is holding a Book Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY during the Badger citywide garage sales. Those attending can check out local authors.

LOHRVILLE — Lohrville United Methodist Church, Lohrville, is holding a Ham Cone dinner from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the church. The meal is ham cones, cheesy hashbrown potatoes, green beans, rolls and dessert. Ticket are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 9 and under. Carryouts will be available. The church is handicapped accessible.

EMMETSBURG — Pedal with Pete Bike Ride for Cerebral Palsy is 2 p.m. SUNDAY at the Shores, Emmetsburg. Registration is 1:30 to 2 p.m. The event is organized by the 4-H County Council to help raise money for research for cerebral palsy.

EMMETSBURG — Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast is 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Emmetsburg VFW. The breakfast will support the Emmetsburg Education Center. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 9 and under.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Band Boosters Ribeye Dinner fundraiser is 5 to 7 p.m. TODAY on the football field next to the concession stand, Emmetsburg. Ribeye sandwich is $15 and beef hot dog dinner is $8, both served with baked beans, chips, dessert and drink. All money raised will be used for an upcoming band trip and instrument purchases.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Public Library, Emmetsburg, is holding Gaming After Hours from 2:30 to 5 p.m. SATURDAY. Light refreshments will be served.

WEBSTER CITY — “Nancy Drew: Iowa Heroine to the World” presentation is 1 p.m. SATURDAY at the Mulberry Center Church, Webster City. The presenter is Iowa native and recently retired University of Northern Iowa professor of English Barbara Lounsberry. The event is free, donations are appreciated.

CLARION — Clarion Culture Festival is noon to 8 p.m. SATURDAY at Gazebo Park, Clarion.

In Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE — Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 11 N. 25th St.

FORT DODGE — Figure 8 Race Season Points Championship is 6 p.m. SATURDAY at the Webster County Speedway, 22770 Old Highway 169. Instead of hot laps, the drivers will pull on to the track after the drivers’ meeting and fans will be allowed on the track to meet the drivers and see the cars up close. Drivers must be signed in by 5 p.m. Cash only for admission fees. Grandstand admission is $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for children ages 6-12; ages 5 and under free. Pit fees are $30 for car and driver or $20 for a pit pass. Pits open at 3 p.m. No food or drink is allowed in the gate. Food vendors will be available.

FORT DODGE — Shellbration presents Downtown Country Jam at 5:30 p.m. SATURDAY in downtown Fort Dodge. Josh Turner with special guests Renegade Soul and Jesse Wilson and Friends will perform. Advance tickets are $40 with tickets at the gate $45, children ages 12 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased online at ticketweb.com or at Availa Bank, GreenState Credit Union, First Interstate Bank, Hy-Vee and Peoples Credit Union.

FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S., is holding a reception for artist Bryon Anway from 2 to 4:30 p.m. SATURDAY. Anway will give a talk at 3 p.m. Anway’s works will be exhibited through Nov. 25. Refreshments will be served.

FORT DODGE — The Sonshine Singers featuring Brady O’Brien will hold its Fall Reunion Ministry at 2 p.m. SATURDAY at First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H. Doors will open at 1 p.m.

FORT DODGE — 133rd Test Squadron 75 year Anniversary Ceremony and Community event is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. SATURDAY at 1649 Nelson Ave. There will be displays of military vehicles, military aircraft, tactical cyber, tactical radio, air tactics, tactical radar, food vendors, bounce houses, face painting, coloring booth and photo booth. Iowa adjutant general, Maj. Gen. Stephen Osborn, and the 133rd Test Squadron commander, Lt. Col. Jason Kolacia, will speak beginning at 1 p.m.
