OTHO -- Market at the Park is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. SUNDAY at the Otho City Park. There will be vendors, crafters, direct sales, fresh produce and food trucks.
EMMETSBURG -- Farmer's Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY on the north side of the Palo Alto County Courthouse on 10th Street, Emmetsburg.
LAKE VIEW -- Stone Pier Summer Concert series presents McKinley James with special guests Ronley King Blues Band and Buckmiller/Schwager at 5 p.m. SATURDAY at Black Hawk Lake. There is no admission charge. Concertgoers are allowed to bring food and beverages to the picnic-style performances, food is available for sale with all proceeds directly benefitting the concert series.
GOWRIE -- Bandshell Bash '23 is 1 to 6 p.m. SUNDAY in the City Park, Gowrie. The event features Sundance Head, winner of the Voice, with Monica Austin, Scott Kirkhart, Jesse Wilson, Doc Johnson, Mike Bernard and Liv McNair. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Those attending should bring a chair. No coolers, tumblers, bottles, cans or pets allowed.
BADGER -- BadgerFest begins at 10 a.m. SATURDAY in Badger. The parade starts on Main Street at 10:30 a.m. There will be Litte Miss and Mr. Badgerfest coronation at 10 a.m., craft and vendor show, live music, VFW salute, car, truck and motorcycle show, magic show, corn hole competition, water wars competition, bingo and kids activities.
CLARION -- The "Dows Speakeasy" opens at 6:30 p.m. SATURDAY at the Heartland Museum, Clarion. The event is free to attend. There will be entertainment, music, dancing, gambling and refreshments.The setting is the 1929 era.
HUMBOLDT -- The fifth annual Veterans Appreciation Concert is SATURDAY at Lower Sheldon Park, Humboldt. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. with the military ceremony at 6 p.m. and concert at 6:30 p.m. Country musician Sara Morgan will perform with Jesse Wilson & Friends as the opening act. There will be food vendors, face painting and bouncy house. The concert is free for any active duty, guards, reserves and VFW auxiliary members with their ID. Children age 15 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Entrance fee for other guests is $10.

FORT DODGE -- Tee'd Off Against Violence Golf Tournament Kick Off Event is 5 p.m. TODAY at the Laramar Ballroom, 710 First Ave. N. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Lone Tree Revival will play at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Proceeds benefit the Homicide/Other Violent Crimes Program.
FORT DODGE -- The 7th annual Tee'd Off Against Violence Golf Tournament is 9 a.m. SATURDAY at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course, 1417 Nelson Ave. Team entry is $300. There will be a free kickoff event from 7 to 10 p.m. TODAY at the Laramar Ballroom, 710 First Ave. N. Lone Tree Revival will perform. FORT DODGE -- KenniStrong Benefit Ride begins at 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the Chesterfield, 1241 S. 22nd St. Kickstands up at 11 a.m. Cost is $10 per rider. The route is Chesterfield, Fort Dodge; Riverside Tap, Lehigh, Copperhead Saloon, Stratford; Seneca St. Saloon, Webster City; Stumpy's, Duncombe; Knuckleheads, Badger and return to Chesterfield. Silent auction and food to follow at Chesterfield. Kenni Gorman was born six weeks early and requires open heart surgery. All proceeds will go to the Gorman family.
