EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Public Library, Emmetsburg, is holding Gaming After Hours from 2:30 to 5 p.m. SATURDAY. Light refreshments will be served.

EMMETSBURG — Farmer’s Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY on the north side of the Palo Alto County Courthouse on 10th Street, Emmetsburg.

CLARION — Back to School Bash is 4 p.m. TODAY at the Heartland Museum, Clarion. There will be food trucks from 4 to 6 p.m., foam party at 6 p.m. and outdoor movie at 7 p.m. Admission is school supplies to be donated to Clarion Goldfield Dows Schools. Theater popcorn will be available for purchase.

WEBSTER CITY — The first annual Angel Tree Ride is SATURDAY at The American Tap, 526 Second St., Webster City. Registration is 9 to 11 a.m. The ride begins at 11 a.m. Cost is $30 for bikes and $40 for side-by-sides. There will be live and silent auctions, food, parking lot party and live music with Nathan Hansen. Proceeds benefit the Angel Tree and will help children in the area at Christmas time.

HARCOURT — Faith Lutheran Church, Harcourt, is holding an Ice Cream Social and Bake Sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. SUNDAY at the church. Beef burgers, chips, baked beans, pie, bars, homemade ice cream and beverage will be served for a freewill donation. Takeouts will be available.

STRATFORD — Stratford Lions Club and Stratford Fire and Rescue are serving Burgers and Sweet Corn from 5 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the Stratford City Park shelter for a freewill donation. Donations will support Stratford Lions scholarships, benefit programs and new fire truck matching funds.

CLARION — Wright County 4-H Clover Fest is 4 to 6 p.m. SATURDAY at the Heartland Museum, Clarion. There will be free goodie bags for the first 99 kids, free food, hands on STEAM activities, free 4-H enrollment with 4-H swag, silent auction, virtual reality, games, crafts and popcorn. Admission is free.

PALMER — The 39th annual Wiegert Prairie Fall Fest is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SUNDAY at the Wiegert Farm, 27575 615th St., Palmer. There will be a Sunday morning church service at 10:30 a.m., live music on the lawn, prairie rides, food and ongoing demonstrations. Admission is free.

LEHIGH — The Lehigh Centennial Mural Fundraiser is 4 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the Lehigh Community Center. A menu with street taco or pulled pork sandwich, chips, drinks and dessert will be served for a freewill donation.

HOMER — The Homer Threshing Bee and Collector’s Show is 8 a.m. SATURDAY and SUNDAY in Homer. There will be a Lions Club pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 for both days.

GILMORE CITY — Gilmore City Fun Days will take place TODAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY. From 5 to 7 p.m. today will be a balloon artist, face painting and cotton candy at the firehouse. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. by 1883 Cafe, C Avenue. There will be a concert by Eli Netz Band, east end of C Avenue at 8 p.m. Saturday’s events begin at 8 a.m. with citywide garage sales, family photos at the Gazebo from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m., a parade at 11 a.m., kids activities from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., waterbarrel fights at the firehouse from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and a concert by Cory Waller and The Wicked Things, east end of Avenue C, at 8 p.m. Sunday’s events include breakfast at the firehouse at 8 a.m. and a tractor caravan will leave Main Street at 9:30 a.m. for a 45-mile ride around the area.

FORT DODGE — Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 11 N. 25th St.

FORT DODGE — Figure 8 Races are 6 p.m. SATURDAY at the Webster County Speedway, 22770 Old Highway 169. Hot laps at 5:30 p.m. Drivers must be signed in by 5 p.m. Cash only for admission fees. Grandstand admission is $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for children ages 6-12; ages 5 and under free. Pit fees are $30 for car and driver or $20 for a pit pass. Pits open at 3 p.m. No food or drink is allowed in the gate. Food vendors will be available.

FORT DODGE — The sixth annual Fort Dodge Police Association Golf Tournament is 9 a.m. SATURDAY at Lakeside Golf Course, 1417 Nelson Ave. Registration for the four person best ball tournament is $200 per team ($50 per person). Registration fee includes golf, lunch, cart rental and mulligans. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. There will also be a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Fort Dodge Police Association and help fund miscellaneous community outreach programs including Santa Cops.

FORT DODGE — Lotus Benefit Run is SATURDAY at Koozies, 16 N. Seventh St. Registration is 9 to 10:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 11 a.m. Registration is $20 for a single rider and $25 per couple. There will be a bike show at Koozies with registration at 5 p.m. and the show at 6 p.m. Stops include Junkyard Bar & Grill, Barnum; Nutslanding, Rutland; Flipside, Lu Verne; Stumpy’s Bar & Grill, Duncombe; and return to Koozies. There will be food trucks, silent auction and live music. A bags tournament is 2 to 5 p.m., cost is $40 per team ($20 per person). All proceeds go to support Lotus Community Project Inc.

FORT DODGE — The Iconic Iowa traveling photo exhibit is on display from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. TODAY and SATURDAY at the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S.

FORT DODGE — Hawkeye Community Theatre, 521 N. 12th St., presents “Play On” at 7 p.m. TODAY and 2 and 7 p.m. SATURDAY. Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased online at hawkeyetheatre.com or at the door.

FORT DODGE — Lunch on Central is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY between the Webster County Courthouse and The Messenger in the 700 block of Central Avenue. The menu is pulled chicken sandwich, coleslaw, potato chips and bottled water for $8. Desserts will be available for purchase from Kosovo Exchange.

FORT DODGE — Bingo and Beer, a benefit for Michael Boles, is 2 to 6 p.m. SATURDAY at River Hops Brewing, 1014 Central Ave. There will be bingo, silent auction and a freewill donation dinner. Boles is fighting cancer.

FORT DODGE — The 24th anniversary Iowa SIDS Foundation Walk for the Future will be held SATURDAY at the Oleson Park shelter, 1400 Oleson Park Ave. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 11:30 a.m. There will be a raffle, silent auction, memorial even and kids’ activities.
