Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs/Arts Council Cultural Capacity Grant awarded to Fort Dodge Choral Society

The Fort Dodge Choral Society has been awarded a 2022-2023 Cultural Capacity Grant from the Arts Council of the Iowa State Department of Cultural Affairs. This grant has the potential to return funds for a total of two years to FDCS depending upon the successful completion of the grant funding requirements.
Among the many requirements set forth by the State of Iowa, grants of this nature require that the selected organizations have a strategic plan which commits the organization to various goals which have the effect of enriching the community through vocal musical excellence. FDCS provided the details of its plan during the application process, and will be endeavoring to fully implement its plan over the course of the funding period.
As a part of its mission statement, the Fort Dodge Choral Society will be reaching out to other civic and cultural organizations to better coordinate how patrons in North Central Iowa can better enjoy both sacred and secular music.
