Stuck truck causes traffic jam

Fort Dodge police officers, along with workers from Mid Iowa Towing and Castor Construction, form a plan to remove a tractor trailer truck that got hung up on a curb on Fifth Avenue South near Eighth Street, causing major traffic backups on Fifth Avenue South and the Kenyon Road Bridge late Thursday afternoon. The passenger side wheels of the truck's cab apparently went over the curb and got stuck. A large tow truck from Mid Iowa Towing pulled the truck free. The incident happened at about 4 p.m. in an area where all traffic has been routed into the eastbound lanes while Castor Construction does concrete repairs on the westbound lanes.
