FORT DODGE -- The Second annual Veterans BBQ is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SATURDAY at Terry Moehnke Veterans Memorial Park, 1386 National Ave. All veterans, armed forces members and families are invited for a gathering in recognition of their brave service. There will be free food, drinks and fun for the whole family.

FORT DODGE -- Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding Teen Crafternoon from 1 to 5 p.m. TODAY at the library. Craft supplies will be provided for teens to make whatever they want plus supplies to make smashbooks will be available. Teens may also bring supplies from home. FORT DODGE -- Karl L. King Municipal Band Concert is 7:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park. There is no admission charge, courtesy of the city of Fort Dodge. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be holding an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. Persons attending are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. No seating is provided.
FORT DODGE -- Courtney Graffunder's Memorial Figure 8 Races are 6 p.m. SATURDAY at the Webster County Speedway, 22770 Old Highway 169. Hot laps at 5:30 p.m. Drivers must be signed in by 5 p.m. Cash only for admission fees. Grandstand admission is $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for children ages 6-12; ages 5 and under free. Pit fees are $30 for car and driver or $20 for a pit pass. Pits open at 3 p.m. No food or drink is allowed in the gate. Food vendors will be available.
FORT DODGE -- Lighthouse Ministries third annual Auto Show is 5:30 p.m. SUNDAY at 1333 Fourth Ave. N. All cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome. A meal will be provided. A freewill donation will accepted to benefit the Golden Day Adult program.
FORT DODGE -- Christ Lutheran Church, 2220 10th Ave. N., is holding its annual Rummage and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. TODAY. From noon to 2 p.m., a bag will sell for $1.
FORT DODGE -- Lizard Creek Gravel Ride is 10 a.m. SUNDAY beginning at Amigos, 280 N. First St. Registration is $25 for ages 13 and over, free for ages 12 and under. Register at https://tinyurl.com/ynw5zfaw. There will be 35, 50, 70 and 100 mile routes. E-bikes are welcome. All proceeds support Lizard Creek MTB Trails improvement.
FORT DODGE -- Community Manna Meal is 5:30 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St. The meal will be served by Grace Lutheran Church. The menu is chili dogs, salads, chips and drinks with bingo and prizes to follow. Use the west elevator entrance. All are welcome.
FORT DODGE -- Fort Dodge Pride Festival will kick off at 10 a.m. SATURDAY on Central Avenue. There will be a Pride procession down Central Avenue at 11 a.m. Speakers, entertainment and games will run from noon to 5 p.m. In the event of heavy rains, the celebration will be moved into the Eagles Ballroom, 1018 First Ave. N.
FORT DODGE -- Lizard Creek Mountain Bike Festival is SATURDAY at the trailhead by Lizard Creek Water Trail Access #1. Registration is $25 for ages 13 and over, free for ages 12 and under. Register at https://tinyurl.com/ynw5zfaw. Segment challenges are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., no e-bikes. Guided tours of the trail, according to difficulty, are 1 to 4 p.m. There will be bike demos and skill challenges. There will be evening activities and live music at Amigos, 280 N. First St. All proceeds support Lizard Creek MTB Trails improvement.

EMMETSBURG -- Five Island Lake Assocation Clean Water event is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at Soper Park, Emmetsburg. There will be games, prizes, partners with hands-on learning and food. Everyone is welcome.
FONDA -- Fonda Arts Center, Fonda, presents "Destined to Fly" the Story of Pilot Ron Strauss -- from Iowa to Elvis, at 3 p.m. SUNDAY. Ron Strauss, a Fonda native, was the personal pilot for Elvis for many years. Strauss will be on stage sharing his memories. Special guest will be Sally Hoedel, the author of "Destined to Die Young," the story of the life of Elvis, and the book "Destined to Fly," the story of pilot Ron Strauss, from Iowa to Elvis. Books will be available for purchase, personally autographed by both Strauss and Hoedel. Admission and refreshments are free.
EMMETSBURG -- Emmetsburg Public Library, Emmetsburg, is holding Gaming After Hours from 2:30 to 5 p.m. SATURDAY. Light refreshments will be served.
WEBSTER CITY -- "Webster City and the Civil War" presentation is 1 p.m. SATURDAY at Mulberry Center Church on the grounds of Wilson Brewer Historic Park, 220 Ohio St., Webster City. The event is free and open to the public.
DAYTON -- Dayton Fire Golf Tournament is 9 a.m. SATURDAY at Oak Park Golf and Rec, Dayton. Cost is $50 per person or $200 for four person team. Fees include food. Format is four person best shot with eight-inch cup. To register, call 515-574-2712.
MANSON -- Manson Greater Crater Days are TODAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY in Manson. Today's events include Manson appreciation meal, Middleton Skills golf competition, truck pulls at the fairgrounds and outdoor movie at the MAC Center. Saturday's events include parade at 10 a.m., Middleton Classic Golf Tournament at 10 a.m., bingo, face painting, foam party and barrel train ride, food vendors at fairgrounds, mini golf and old fashioned games. Crash My Crater concert gates open at 5 p.m., tickets are $40 per person, featuring Parmalee with special guest Matt Stell. Fireworks will be at 10 p.m. Sunday's event include Middleton Classic Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. and car show from 1 to 4 p.m. on South Main Street.
OTHO -- Market at the Park is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. SUNDAY at the Otho City Park. There will be vendors, crafters, direct sales, fresh produce and food trucks.
