FDCSD names Director of Curriculum, Instruction

The Fort Dodge Community School District has named Teri Boezinger the director of curriculum and instruction.

In this role Boezinger will lead the district’s efforts to align and provide continuous improvement of the preschool through 12th grade curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development to maximize student achievement.

“Teri brings with her a wealth of knowledge working at the AEA when it comes to curriculum and instructions,” said Josh Porter, incoming superintendent. “Her background and experiences working with multiple school districts will make her a great addition to our team at Fort Dodge.”

For the past 10 years, Boezinger has worked as a school improvement and MTSS systems specialist at Central Rivers Area Education Agency (AEA), which has offices in Cedar Falls, Clear Lake and Marshalltown. In this role she worked to ensure all students had access to high quality universal core instruction and to ensure an educational match between a student’s skills and their educational programming. Prior to joining the AEA, Boezinger was a classroom teacher at North Scott Community Schools, Canon City Schools and Nashville Public Schools.

“It is my honor to begin supporting each Fort Dodge Community School District student in their educational journey,” Boezinger said. “Each student is unique and brings value to the school community. I will strive to ensure all curriculum is accessible to all students, build strong relationships with all stakeholders, and ensure all students become happy, creative, and curious learners along the way. I am beyond excited to begin this journey alongside all the excellent educators in the Fort Dodge Community School District as we learn together.”

Boezinger will begin her role as director of curriculum and instruction on July 1.
