The surviving victim of a fatal shooting in downtown Fort Dodge on May 2 is charged with first-degree harassment for threatening the alleged shooter's mother.
According to court records, Silas Hall, 20, of Fort Dodge, threatened Lavita Pettigrew, mother of accused shooter Davonquae "DJ" Pettigrew, 17. On Wednesday afternoon, Hall allegedly threatened to "kill [her] son" and "end [her] too."
First-degree harassment is an aggravated misdemeanor. Hall had his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Thursday morning. He is being held on a $20,000 cash bond.
Hall was injured in a May 2 shooting in the 100 block of North 10th Street. Another victim of the shooting, 18-year-old Patrick Walker, died at the scene. Hours after the shooting, police identified Davonquae Pettigrew as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Davonquae Pettigrew remains at large and is wanted for first-degree murder, for Walker's death, and attempted murder, for Hall's injuries. Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to Davonquae Pettigrew's arrest.

Pettigrew is a 17-year-old Black male, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. According to police, he should be considered armed and dangerous.
