Information night coming up at St. Edmond

Laufersweiler: School provides 'safe, family environment'

St. Edmond Catholic School will be hosting an information night on Wednesday at the school library.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional tour, while the information process starts at 6:30 p.m.

Beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, all incoming kindergartners and public school students will qualify to receive an Educational Savings Account. More on this will be available during the special night.

“The passing of this bill brings great hope for our school system,” said Susan Laufersweiler, the school’s development director. “This helps level the playing field for parents who would choose a private school for their child, but currently cannot afford tuition costs. It gives them a true choice in the education that is best for their child.”

St. Edmond offers several sport teams and musical activities, along with the St. Edmond After School Program, which was started in 2011 and is open until 5:45 p.m. for working parents.

“St. Edmond provides a safe, family environment for our students,” Laufersweiler said. “We provide a Christ-centered education and work to meet the needs of the whole child creating multiple opportunities for them to grow in discipleship throughout the day. We set high standards for academics and behavior.

“Our small class sizes allows for more individualized attention from our dedicated teachers and the ability for students to be involved in many activities. We would love to partner with more families to share the great values and academics of our school system.”
