Sac County Sheriff’s Office makes drug arrest

SAC CITY — A Sac County couple is behind bars after law enforcement say they located and seized a host of illegal drugs during a search in rural Wall Lake.

According to a press release from Sac County Sheriff Ken McClure, Jennifer Violet Kuhl, 37, and Justin John Siegner, 41, were arrested on Thursday relating to an ongoing drug investigation. Both are charged with ongoing criminal conduct and possession of over 5 grams of methamphetamine, both Class B felonies. Both were also charged with misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession.

Members of the Buena Vista/Sac County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at the couple’s home at 2279 390th St. on Nov. 9. According to court documents, about five hours before the search, Kuhl had been pulled over in a traffic stop and found with almost a gram of crystal meth.

During the search at the couple’s home, deputies seized stolen guns, 7.62 grams of meth, 3.39 grams of cocaine and 4.34 grams of marijuana.

According to the criminal complaint, “Witnesses have stated that they either historically distributed for Siegner and Kuhl, have bought methamphetamine from 2270 390th Street, or have observed Siegner selling methamphetamine. The sale of controlled substances by the efforts of both Siegner and Kuhl demonstrate a continuing act that is performed for financial gain.

Siegner and Kuhl are both being held in the Sac County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
