Frontier outage caused by fiber cut
A Frontier phone line outage that caused many businesses and homes to be without a landline for the last two days was caused by a cut fiber line, a company representative told The Messenger on Tuesday.
Phone service went down on Monday afternoon and affected much of Fort Dodge, including UnityPoint Health and the Webster County Dispatch non-emergency line.
Crews continued to work on fixing the cut line and customers began to see their phone lines return on Tuesday evening.
Information on how many customers were impacted by the outage and the location of the cut fiber line were not available by press time on Tuesday.
