Three arrested in Webster City stabbing

WEBSTER CITY — Three men face attempted murder charges in the wake of a stabbing that occurred in Webster City late Saturday.

Yener Adan Chilel-Merida, 25, of Webster City; Reyner Amir Mendez Garcia, 21, and Maynor Cifuentes Perez, 25, both of Latimer, each are charged with two counts of attempted murder, a Class B Felony, and disorderly conduct, a simple misdemeanor, according to Webster City Police Chief Shiloh Mork.

Mork identified the victims as Marco Antonio Ochoa San Juan, 23, and Uriel Adimar Calles-Ochoa, 22, both of Webster City.

Webster City Police were called to 1544 Superior St., shortly before midnight on Saturday on a report of an assault with injuries. When officers arrived, they learned that there was a gathering occurring on the main floor of the building and that the two men had been stabbed.

Both stabbing victims were transported to an undisclosed Des Moines hospital for treatment of their injuries. An update on their conditions was not disclosed.

The location of the stabbing is the former Lena Liquors property.
