EMMETSBURG — Five Island Trail Barbecue fundraiser is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. SUNDAY at Nolan Rouse Park, Emmetsburg. Freewill donation.

FONDA — Fonda Arts Center is holding “Fall Back to the Tunes of the 50’s and 60’s” at 3 p.m. SUNDAY. Admission and refreshments are free. Donations are appreciated.

In Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE — Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY in the parking lot north of Brown’s Shoe Fit, 210 S. 25th St.

FORT DODGE — The Friends of Oakland Cemetery is hosting its second annual “Clean the Headstones Party” at 10 a.m. SATURDAY at Oakland Cemetery, 1617 N. 15th St. There will be parking on top of the hill from the main entrance. All cleaning supplies will be provided.

FORT DODGE — Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St., is holding a Pancake Supper from 5:30 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the church. The menu is pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, coffee and water with flavoring available for a freewill offering. Ten percent of the offering will go to Kentucky and Mississippi flood victims through Lutheran Disaster Relief.

FORT DODGE — “Oh, My Iowa!” featuring The Browns, songs and stories of the heartland, is 3 p.m. SUNDAY at Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 N. 32nd St. Proceeds will benefit the women and children of the YWCA. Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased at Fort Dodge Hy-Vee.

FORT DODGE — Party at Oleson Park is 6 p.m. to dusk SATURDAY. There will be food trucks, martial arts instruction at 6:30 p.m., scavenger hunt and movie “Encanto” at dusk.

FORT DODGE — The fifth annual Journey of Hope Garage Sale and Steak Fry is SATURDAY at Community Tap and Pizza, 2026 Fifth Ave. S. The garage sale begins at 8 a.m. The “Sawyers” 10-ounce ribeye steak fry is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Community Tap parking lot. The meal includes steak with two sides and a roll for $20. There will be a silent auction from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Craig Swalwell will perform at 7 p.m. The fundraiser was started in honor of Evie Mueller and Benjamin Hanna. All proceeds go to UnityPoint — Trinity Regional Medical Center and to children’s cancer. The Community Tap will donate 10 percent of sales for the entire day to Journey of Hope.

FORT DODGE — ABATE of Iowa’s District 10 annual Santa in September Toy Run is SATURDAY. Registration is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Amigo’s Bar and Restaurant, 280 N. First St. Registration costs are $20 and a new, unwrapped toy per rider. Stop include Stumpy’s, Duncombe; Riverside Tap, Lehigh; Ole Town Road, Gowrie; Junkyard, Barnum; and the final stop will be at the VFW in Dakota City for the Toy Run Auction. All funds raised will be used to purchase toys in November.
