Supervisors go to school
Campbell, Conrad part of inaugural class of Certified Iowa County Supervisors
Two Webster County supervisors were part of the inaugural class of Certified Iowa County Supervisors through the Iowa State Association of Counties this week.
Mark Campbell, chair of the Webster County Board of Supervisors, and Niki Conrad, vice-chair, completed the two-year program during the ISAC Annual Conference in Des Moines on Thursday.
“This is an incredible program, beneficial to all seasoned and new supervisors,” Campbell said. “I am thrilled to have been part of the inaugural class.”
The Certified Iowa County Supervisor program is a continuing education program with the overall goal of bettering county government in Iowa through education. Certification requires a two-year commitment and a total of 30 credit hours.
“When ISAC announced that they were developing this continuing education program, I knew that I wanted to participate,” Conrad said. “Anything to help better serve the citizens of Webster County.”
Webster County Recorder Lindsay Laufersweiler and Treasurer Brenda Angstrom also graduated as Certified Iowa County Recorder and Certified Iowa County Treasurer, respectively.
