Hamilton County Peace Officers Association President Rod Hickok, left, and HCPOA Sergeant-At-Arms Dylan Rose present a check for $7,000 to Jazlyn Smith and Kathy Smith, surviving daughter and spouse of Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Jim Smith. Sgt. Smith was killed in the line of duty in 2021. The proceeds from the sale of memorial decals by the HCPOA and the Hamilton County Speedway event on July 23 were presented to the Smiths on Friday.
