An arson fire destroyed another Fort Dodge home Wednesday morning.

According to Fort Dodge Fire Chief Steve Hergenreter, crews ere dispatched to 502 N. 17th St. around 7:30 a.m. for a house fire. When crews arrived, flames were coming from windows on the first and second floors of the building.

The house sustained heavy fire, heat and smoke damage throughout and the cause of the fire has been determined to be arson.

No injuries were reported and the house has been vacant, though neighbors reported seeing squatters in the house throughout the summer.

The house is owned by Colleen Holcombe, of Fort Dodge.
