Fort Dodge Police Department investigating weekend vandalism

A person or persons appear to have gone on a vandalism spree across Fort Dodge over the weekend.

According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, 10 reports of vandalism to vehicles, buildings and residences were reported on Sunday. Officers began to investigate the reports of damage, believed to be caused by objects being thrown with the intent to cause damage, and believed these acts of vandalism are connected.

The incidents appear to have happened in the overnight hours of Saturday into Sunday.

Multiple incidents were reported in the following areas:

• North 13th Street and North 14th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues North.

• South 21st Street, South 22nd Street and South 27th Street between 11th Avenue South and 14th Avenue South.

• 10 block of North 10th Street.

• 1000 block of First Avenue Northwest.

• 700 block of Eighth Avenue North.

The Fort Dodge Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate these incidents. Anyone with information or video evidence of these areas around this time is encouraged to contact the department at 515-573-1424.
