Occupational Medicine moves to new location
Ribbon cutting held Tuesday
UnityPoint Health celebrated a new venue for its Trinity Occupational Medicine facility on Tuesday.
The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance held a ribbon cutting for the move to 210 N. 15th St..
The Occupational Medicine division was previously housed at 2520 Ninth Ave. S., at UnityPoint’s Highland Park campus.
“We are thankful for the opportunity to invest in our occupational medicine program and offer continued support to employers in our region,” said Jennifer Crimmins, regional vice president of clinic operations at UnityPoint Health. “Our new location is very visible and easy to find on the corner of 15th Street and Second Avenue North. In addition, we have expanded our provider team to include Judy Nelson, Nicole Lee and leadership from Dr. Rippentrop.
“Our amazing team looks forward to welcoming you in our new space.”
Lee and Nelson have more than 65 years combined experience in the nursing field. Lee has more than 25 years of experience in the nursing field and her certifications include RN, ARNP and NP-C.
Nelson has 40 years of experience in nursing and 20 years as a nurse practitioner. Her certifications also include RN, ARNP and NP-C.
Occupational Medicine has been serving the Fort Dodge area for over 20 years. It’s a full- service, one-stop shop for occupational medicine and corporate wellness needs.
The Occupational Medicine facility is not open to the general public, as it serves only employers and their employee populations. It is focused on injury care based on knowledge of the working environment.
The philosophy of the department is to use appropriate restrictions to keep employees working safely until the injury is resolved.
The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two medical providers and a full support staff of nurses and clerical help will be on site.
