Charges against Walker dropped

Teen had video proving his innocence

A Fort Dodge teen who was wanted in connection with recent shots fired incidents was exonerated by video evidence he provided to law enforcement on Thursday, according to the Fort Dodge Police Department.

Patrick Walker, 17, voluntarily contacted and turned himself into officers on Thursday, without issue. Walker was transported to the Webster County Law Enforcement Center, where he was interviewed by investigators.

According to a release from the FDPD, Walker provided a video which showed he was at a nearby residence at the time of the Saturday morning shooting in the 600 block of North 22nd Street and he is “in no way responsible for the shots being fired.”

All charges against Walker have been dismissed and will be expunged from his record.
