The Fort Dodge Police Department is investigating a Sunday night robbery of a gas station on the city’s north side.

According to a release from the department, an unknown individual entered the Casey’s General Store at 2007 N. 15th St. shortly before 11:45 p.m. and demanded money before leaving on foot.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall male. He was wearing all black clothing as well as a face covering.

According to the police, the suspect received an “undisclosed amount of money” before fleeing the area to the south on foot. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.

The FDPD is continuing to investigate the robbery. Anyone with information or video surveillance from the area is encouraged to contact law enforcement.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on scene.
