BARNUM — A Webster County Health Department vehicle was totaled Wednesday afternoon after another vehicle crashed into the back of it along Iowa Highway 7.

The crash was reported at 2:36 p.m. about a mile east of the Iowa Crossroads of Global Innovation industrial park.

Katie Loseke, 41, of Fort Dodge, was driving the county vehicle eastbound. Loseke is employed by the Health Department.

She was driving behind a school van that slowed in front of her to yield at the railroad tracks, according to Sgt. Josh Van Waes, of the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.

As Loseke slowed her vehicle, a pickup truck behind her crashed into the back of the county vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the county vehicle to overturn.

John Robbins, 65, of Fort Dodge, was driving the pickup truck. Robbins was cited for driving on a suspended license and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility accident related.

The pickup truck had significant front-end damage. The county vehicle is considered totaled.

Each vehicle had one passenger, Van Waes reported.

All occupants were treated on scene for their injuries. No one was transported to the hospital.

Barnum Fire Department, Clare Fire Department, Fort Dodge Fire Department ambulances, Webster County Sheriff’s Department and the Iowa State Patrol responded.
