A Fort Dodge man accused of the armed robbery of a convenience store has pleaded not guilty to the four charges he faces in Webster County District Court.
Thomas Lee Boone, 32, was arrested Dec. 1 for the Nov. 15 armed robbery of the Star Convenience Clark Station at 115 N. 22nd St. He was charged with one count of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony; two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, a Class D felony; and one count of trafficking in stolen weapons, a Class D felony.
Officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department were dispatched to the convenience store around 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 15 for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene on foot.
Store staff had reported that a male had entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect was able to leave with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A jury trial is scheduled for March 1.
Boone remains in the Webster County Jail on a $40,000 cash bond.
