VINCENT — A Vincent man was killed Monday after his Dodge pickup went out of control and rolled in a ditch at 140th Street and Vasse Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Arthur Loyd, 45, was driving eastbound on 140th Street when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch. After gaining control for a short time, Loyd lost control of the truck again and entered the south ditch, where the vehicle rolled while coming out of the ditch, landing upside down on 140th Street.

Loyd was trapped in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
