CLARION — “The Grinch” will be shown at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. SATURDAY at the Clarion Theater, Clarion. Admission is free.

GOWRIE — Gowrie United Methodist Women are holding a 2021 “Welcome Home for Christmas” coffee and bazaar from 9 to 11 a.m. SATURDAY at the Gowrie United Methodist Church, Gowrie. Featured items will include homemade noodles and rye bread, candy, crafts and coffee walk.

WEBSTER CITY — A Candy Cane Hike is 1 to 2 p.m. SATURDAY at Briggs Woods Park, shelter #2, 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City. Bring the family and hike the park trails with the county naturalist in search of hidden candy canes in trees, bushes and logs. WEST BEND — West Bend Historical Society is holding a Tour of Homes from 1 to 4:30 p.m. SUNDAY in West Bend. Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased until 4 p.m. at the West Bend Historical Museum, 7 Third St. SE, West Bend.

ROCKWELL CITY — St. Paul Lutheran and Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City, is holding a Cookie Walk from 8 to 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the church. There will also be baked goodies and craft items available for purchase. Coffee, cinnamon rolls and cider will be served for a freewill donation.

LEHIGH — Lehigh Lions Club Deer Hunters Breakfast is 7 to 11 a.m. SATURDAY at the Lehigh Community Center. All the pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs will be served. Tickets are $6 for adults and $2.50 for children ages 11 and under.

CALLENDER — Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Callender, is holding its annual Christmas Fair and Luncheon from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SATURDAY at the church. There will be a bake sale, lefse sale, Christmas treasures and crafts. A lunch of chicken salad in a krumkaka bowl or a beef burger, both including with salads and Scandinavian pasties, will be served. Lunch tickets are $9 for fourth grade to adult, $4 for preschool to third grade and free for children age three and under.

BOXHOLM — Trinity Lutheran Church, Boxholm, is hosting a Swedish Meatball Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. SUNDAY. Swedish meatballs, potatoes, Swedish rye bread, gravy, salads, beverages and Christmas desserts will be served for a freewill donation.

CLARE — Clare Fire drive thru Spaghetti Supper is 4 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY in front of the Clare Fire Department. The meal includes a serving of spaghetti, Texas toast, salad and dessert. Tickets are $10 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Clare Fire Department to upgrade equipment and provide supplies.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Public Library is holding Gaming After Hours board game program from 2:30 to 5 p.m. SATURDAY. “Dune: Imperium” for ages 14 and up will be played. Refreshments will be served.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Chamber is hosting its Holiday Lighted Parade and Home for the Holidays open house TODAY. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and travels north on Broadway from 14th Street to 10th Street and then will park along the north side of the Courthouse Square. Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet children at the Chamber building beginning at 6:15 p.m. Children will receive a treat bag and there will be holiday music, hot chocolate, popcorn and treats and horse drawn wagon rides.

FORT DODGE — Lights at Kennedy is 6 to 9 p.m. TODAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY at Kennedy Park Campground, 1415 Nelson Ave. Freewill donations will be accepted.

FORT DODGE — Share What You Wear distribution, a community clothing event sponsored by Iowa Central Community College, is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at the Career Education Building on the Iowa Central Community College campus, One Triton Circle. FORT DODGE — A Time for Angels is 1:30 p.m. SUNDAY at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 239 N. 11th St. In recognition that the holidays can be a difficult time for those experiencing grief, families are invited to a program filled with a message of hope and love. FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Area Symphony presents “Tell Me a Story” at 3 p.m. SUNDAY at Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 N. 32nd St. The concert will feature soprano Renee Davenport and the Triton Kids Treble Chorus. Admission is by season ticket or $10 for adults and free for students at the door.

FORT DODGE — River Hops Brewing, 1014 Central Ave., is holding Hops & Shops vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SATURDAY. There will also be Christmas photo sessions with Santa.

FORT DODGE — The Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold a Garage Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. TODAY and SATURDAY at 1018 First Ave. N. Proceeds go to the charities of the organization and to the building maintenance fund. Please wear a mask and abide by social distancing.

FORT DODGE — Prairie Lakes Church, 200 Ave. O, is holding a Christmas Drive-Thru from 5 to 8 p.m. TODAY at the church. Throw on your favorite Christmas pajamas or sweater, hop in the car and enjoy the event complete with cookies, hot chocolate, Christmas lights, Santa and more.

FORT DODGE — Santa will be at the Dariette, 17 S. 12th St., from 2 to 5:30 p.m. SUNDAY.
