Members of the Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma, Noon Kiwanis, Noon Rotary, Morning Rotary, Noon Lions, and Evening Lions participated in the Service Clubs United Shopping Spree Foodraiser at Fareway on Nov. 14. Each team had 7 minutes to shop for groceries for local food pantries. Each team was aiming for $500 worth of groceries and whoever was closest without going over won a traveling trophy. That winning team was the Noon Kiwanis. In total, $3,641.79 worth of groceries was donated between Upper Des Moines Opportunity, the Fort Dodge Community School District, The Salvation Army, The Lotus Project, The Lord’s Cupboard, and Holy Trinity Food Pantry. Noon Sertoma President Jamie Brundage said, “The clubs feel energized and are excited to bring this event back next year.”
