Fort Dodge firefighters work to remove a person from an overturned vehicle beneath the bridge on Gypsum Hollow Road Monday night. The vehicle went off the road and ended up on its roof not far from the Canadian National Railway tracks. A train had to be stopped for several minutes while rescuers worked at the scene. The crash was reported at about 9:25 p.m. Fort Dodge police and firefighters responded.

Fort Dodge firefighters carry a person in a specialized stretcher called a Stokes basket Monday night following a crash that left a vehicle overturned beneath the bridge on Gypsum Hollow Road. The patient had to be carried up a steep hill to reach an ambulance.
