3 charged with second-degree robbery

Three men are charged with second-degree robbery after allegedly assaulting two people on Sept. 10 and taking property from them before leaving the 800 block of South 22nd Street, according to the Fort Dodge Police Department.

The assault was reported at 5 p.m. that day.

According to the criminal complaint, the suspects snuck up behind one of the victims and struck him in the head. Then while he was on ground, the suspects took his phone, phone charger, wallet and cigarettes out of his pocket.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division worked with patrol officers to conduct further interviews and collect video footage from businesses and residences in the area, police reported.

As a result of the investigation, Marcus Delp, 19; Christopher Craig, 28; and Dartayvious Diekman, 19, are each charged with second-degree robbery, a class C felony.

Delp and Craig are in custody of the Webster County Jail. Diekman remains are large.

Delp was arrested in Mason City while at a probation meeting with his probation officer a few days after the incident.

He was then transported to Webster County and served the robbery warrant on Sept. 17.

Craig turned himself in at the Webstser County Law Enforcement Center on Thursday.

The Webster County Crime Stoppers has offered a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest of Diekman.

The incident remains under investigation.
