One injured in three-vehicle crash

Badger and Fort Dodge first responders work the scene of a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Paragon Avenue and 170th Street. The crash was reported at 12:03 p.m. According to Chief Deputy Derek Christie, of the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, a Ford F150 driven by Al Price, 62, of Fort Dodge, was traveling northbound on Paragon Avenue. A Buick Enclave driven by Celina Valiente, 26, of Fort Dodge, was facing eastbound at the stop sign at 170th Street. Behind her, was a cement truck driven by David Kersey, 40, of Jefferson According to Christie, Valiente entered the Paragon Avenue roadway and was struck by Price’s truck. The impact spun her vehicle around and into the cement truck. Valiente was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health —­ Trinity Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. The truck and SUV had significant front end damage. The bumper of the cement truck was damaged. The crash remains under investigation. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Fort Dodge Fire Rescue and Badger volunteer firefighters responded.
