Friendship Haven sees breakthrough COVID cases

7 residents, 5 staff test positive; visitation restricted

Seven Friendship Haven residents and five staff members, many of whom were vaccinated, have tested positive for COVID-19.

Friendship Haven staff announced Monday that six residents in the River Ridge neighborhood and one resident in the Kenyon Place Apartments had tested positive for COVID-19.

All of those residents have been vaccinated.

In addition, five staff members throughout the campus have tested positive within the last week. Some of those staff have been vaccinated and some have not.

Friendship Haven conducted surveillance testing Monday on all residents and staff in response to learning that one resident had tested positive. Testing in The Gardens Assisted Living and Simpson Health Center all came back negative.

Friendship Haven plans to continue surveillance testing of all residents across their campus for the next two weeks or longer if more residents test positive.

All visitation will be restricted and all resident activities are canceled until further notice.
