3 found dead in Algona

ALGONA -- An investigation is underway in Algona after three people were found dead Monday night, according to the Algona Police Department.

Police were called to the 400 block of South Harlan Street at 7:51 p.m. for a report of a homicide.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three deceased individuals.

Autopsies are being conducted by the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner.

Police said there is no threat to the public.

The Algona Police Department was assisted by the Kossuth County Sheriff's Office, Iowa State Patrol, Algona EMS, Kossuth County Medical Examiner's Office, Kossuth County Attorney's Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
