RoJohn Home Improvement Inc. will move from its downtown location to the former pontoon boat factory at 228 Kenyon Road this summer. The company will make some of the space in its new home available to anyone who needs a place to store things.

Mike McCarville, manager of RoJohn Home Improvement Inc., confirmed the purchase Tuesday. He said the exact date that the company will move hasn’t been set yet.

Rojohn Home Improvement has been located at 429 First Ave. S. for about 40 years.

”Business is going great,” McCarville said. ”We need more room.”

He said his company has seen a uptick in both new construction and renovations.

”Everything is pretty busy,” he said. ”It’s just a pretty good time in our local economy.”

The Misty Harbor building is available because manufacturing stopped there in the spring of 2020. The work was moved to the company’s plant in Bristol, Indiana.

The Misty Harbor building is about 105,000 square feet. McCarville said that’s about 10 times larger than his company’s current space.

Since Rojohn Home Improvement won’t fill all of that area some of it will be made available to ”anybody and everybody that needs warehouse space,” McCarville said.
