FD man sentenced for meth conspiracy
SIOUX CITY — A Fort Dodge man will serve nearly nine years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in the Fort Dodge area.
Joshua Minich, 43, pleaded guilty to the meth conspiracy charge on Jan. 22. He was sentenced on Friday in federal court in Sioux City.
According to a press release from the Northern District of Iowa, between August 2017 and February 2018, Minich was involved in a conspiracy that trafficked more than 50 grams of pure meth in the Fort Dodge area. He also admitted to possessing various firearms during this time.
Minich was sentenced to 105 months in federal prison, and must serve a four-year term of supervised release following his incarceration. There is no parole in the federal court system.
