A Fort Dodge man is facing multiple felony charges after law enforcement officers say he broke into a Gowrie home and stole cash, silver and guns this week.

Ashton J. Lomicka, 22, is accused of breaking into a home in the 1700 block of 320th Street on Monday afternoon. According to the criminal complaint, a 13-year-old girl was in the home when the burglary happened.

Through investigation and viewing surveillance footage, Webster County sheriff’s deputies were able to identify Lomicka as a suspect. According to the criminal complaint, Lomicka stole 190 ounces of silver valued at $6,447, $3,500 in cash, Dewalt tools valued at more than $3,000, a rifle with a scope and a .410-caliber long gun.

On Thursday morning, the Webster County/Fort Dodge Special Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 1338 Third Ave. N.W. Lot 67, where they arrested Lomicka, along with Makayla Johnson, 24, of Fort Dodge.

During the search of the residence, officers located and seized a firearm, ammunition, currency, paraphernalia, suspected narcotics, electronic devices and other items related to the case.
