FDCSD continues search for superintendent

Finalists for the position of Fort Dodge Community School District superintendent will be brought in for interviews on May 19.

The FDCSD Board of Education provided an update on the search to replace current Superintendent Jesse Ulrich at its regular board meeting on Monday night.

Ulrich is leaving the district to become president of Iowa Central Community College.

The FDCSD board has concluded and closed the community stakeholder survey for feedback. The board is reviewing those results.

Applications are due May 8.

Next, the board will do a screening of candidates on May 13 before finalists are interviewed May 19.

In other business, the board approved the purchase of 700 student Google Chromebooks from Sterling Computers. The Chromebooks will be used for 10th grade and the 3-5th grade Chromebook carts. The total cost is $226,621.50.
