-Messenger photo by Kelby Wingert One man received minor injuries Monday afternoon when the FedEx semitrailer he was driving drifted off of the highway and into the ditch, hitting a driveway embankment. The crash was reported shortly after 3 p.m. on Lainson Avenue (U.S. Highway 169) just north of 140th Street. No other vehicle was involved. The driver, who was not named by Iowa State Patrol, was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Clare Fire and Rescue, Badger Fire and Rescue, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol responded to the accident. The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
