One injured in single-vehicle crash Monday

A Humboldt man received minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident just north of Fort Dodge on Monday evening. Tony Jorgensen, of Humboldt, was driving east on 170th Street toward National Avenue when he lost control and entered the north ditch around 7:15 p.m. on Monday. According to Webster County Deputy Sheriff April Murray, when Jorgensen entered the ditch, he struck a culvert. Jorgensen was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, Murray said. Jorgensen was cited for failure to maintain control. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Badger Fire Rescue and Fort Dodge Fire Rescue.
