Two charged with burglary, willful injury in Stratford incident

STRATFORD — A burglary and assault with injuries has resulted in two area residents being charged in the incident.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has charged both Kayla L. Reynolds, of Vincent, and Mackenzie D. Jensen, of Fort Dodge, with first degree burglary and willful injury as a result of a confrontation that occurred in Stratford in the early morning hours of Jan. 13.

According to Sheriff Doug Timmons, the victim, a 32 year-old female, suffered serious injuries as a result of the assault, and was transported by Stratford Fire and Rescue to Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City for treatment of injuries. From there she was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines for further treatment.

Reynolds is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail.

There is an active outstanding arrest warrant for Jensen.
