A Fort Dodge woman was arrested Thursday after police said she broke into a home and assaulted someone.
Daesha Green, 24, was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony, after her arrest Thursday afternoon.
Fort Dodge Police said the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a burglary report at about 6:55 a.m. Thursday about an incident that had occurred earlier in the morning. Police said information gathered from the victim indicated that a woman forced her way into the residence and assaulted the victim before leaving.
Green is currently being held in the Webster County Jail. Her initial appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. today in Webster County Magistrate Court.
"The Fort Dodge Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and encourages anyone with information to contact law enforcement," said Capt. Ryan Gruenberg, public information officer.
The FDPD was assisted in its investigation by the Webster County Sheriff's Office.
