COVID-19 vaccine clinic set for Friday

Appointments are required; 500 slots available

The Webster County Health Department will offer a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday for Webster County residents age 65 and older who are not actively sick or in public health isolation.

The clinic will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Crossroads Mall.

All vaccinations will be by appointment only.

The Health Department reported that 500 appointment slots will open at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Appointments can be made online at webstercountyia.gov. The appointment link will be located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If the link does not appear immediately, refresh your screen.

The phone line and website link will only be active beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and will close as soon as all appointment slots are filled.

Residents will be asked to provide their name, address, date of birth and phone number. Insurance information will be collected at the clinic.

Only those with appointments will be allowed into the clinic.

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled time.

There will be a 15-minute wait after the vaccine is administered.

Dress in layers so that one arm is accessible.

Park in the lot in front of the mall’s west entrance.

Masks are required.

Those without insurance will not be turned away.

The Health Department reported that it is working on the logistics of getting vaccines to homebound individuals and those unable to get to the mall.
