Two injured in three-vehicle crash

Fort Dodge firefighters and paramedics evaluate one of the injured people after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Nelson Avenue and Cardinal Avenue Friday afternoon. Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Lt. Donald McLaren, of the Fort Dodge Police Department. According to McClaren, the driver of a Dodge Dakota was driving southbound on Nelson Avenue and slowed down to make a turn onto Cardinal Avenue. The driver of a white SUV, also traveling southbound, didn’t realize the truck was turning and crashed into the back of it. A third vehicle was northbound and experienced a secondary collision. Two of the vehicles were seriously damaged in the crash. Fort Dodge police continue to investigate. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department and Fort Dodge Fire Department were also on scene.

The back end of a maroon Dodge Dakota was seriously damaged after the driver of a white SUV crashed into it along Nelson Avenue Friday. The crash was reported at 3:40 p.m. The driver of this vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A multiple vehicle collision was reported Friday afternoon at the intersection of Nelson Avenue and Cardinal Avenue. At least two people were injured in the crash. Webster County sheriff’s deputies and Fort Dodge police are investigating.
