No one injured in Monday house fire

A Fort Dodge fire truck sits in front of the house at 2230 Eighth Ave. S. Monday evening after a fire was reported there. Fire Department Capt. Steve Teske said the fire started on the back exterior wall. He said flames burned through the vinyl siding and into the house before being extinguished. Three dogs inside the house were unharmed. Teske said he wasn’t sure if anyone was home when the fire started. Its cause remained under investigation. The fire was reported at about 6:30 p.m. The Fort Dodge fire and police departments responded.
