A single-vehicle accident occurred around noon Thursday with a driver traveling in the 1200 mile of Baxter Avenue.

While driving on the northbound gravel road, driver Danny Gilliland, 43, lost control of his 1999 Ford Expedition, landing on the driver’s side in the west ditch. An accident report from the Webster County Sheriff’s Office indicated speed may have been a contributing factor in the accident.

The driver was assisted out of the truck through the back by first responders and transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center. The extent of injuries sustained was unclear.
