FD schools to go to hybrid model

Starting on Wednesday, the Fort Dodge Community School District will shift to using a hybrid instruction delivery model, with half of students in school for two days, with half learning from home, and then vice versa.

The district made the announcement on Monday afternoon in an email to parents.

There will be no school for transitional kindergarten through 12th grade for the FDCSD tomorrow so staff can prepare for the change in mode of instruction.

Preschool will continue to meet at the school.

“As a district, we will coordinate on how to provide daycare for those staff members who are affected by this school closure,” Ulrich wrote in an email to staff that was obtained by The Messenger.

More information will be in Tuesday’s issue of The Messenger.
